Responsibilities:

  • Teamwork: Be an excellent team player
  • Process oriented: Understand and follow software development processes including Product Life Cycle
  • Understanding of Requirement process elicitation and typical software development processes and models
  • Conceptualize advanced concepts and ideas: new ways to do things new products new form factors new experiences
  • Trace new paths towards innovation & design excellence for HP Inc.
  • Actively participate in meetings with the development team or otherwise designated teams
  • Hands on approach to problem solving
  • Collaborate with the team to develop more effective and relevant metrics/goals and user needs clarification
  • Contribute to cross disciplinary task forces as needed. Partner and support development activities
  • Quality Focused: Understand the importance of quality in the whole development cycle

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently studying Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical or similar fields
  • Availability to establish internship agreement with University, either part-time or full-time basis
  • Team player attitude, self-motivation, professionalism, organizational & inter-personal skills
  • Basic understanding of low-level real-time software development
  • Basic understanding of modern Windows operating systems
  • Preferable knowledge of Javascript and/or C# programmable languages
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a group of peers
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Basic understanding of quality processes

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of embedded software development
  • Knowledge in code debugging: usage of debuggers and (desirable) tracing tools, memory corruptions and leakage detection and correction, stack analysis
  • Knowledge of current Agile methodologies
  • Self-starter who can work independently
  • Ability to problem-solve under pressure
  • Advanced abilities with Microsoft Office
  • Typescript, UWP, and React Native experience is a bonus
