Join us and become part of the power behind possible.About The Opportunity Position Summary Responsible for assisting in tasks and duties as directed by the intern's manager. Provides support for critical business projects. Develops technical knowledge and leadership skills for future career marketability.Essential to this Position The Supply Chain Intern will support Menasha Packaging's Operation Execution team. Core essentials for the team include gathering data and conducting analysis with the goal of improving the organization's supply chain operations. Identifies underperforming areas in the supply chain and may suggest improvements or resolutions to problems. Assists with managing manufacturing capacity within a multi-state region Acts as a liaison between the customer service/sales and production regarding material availability issues Assists with driving continuous improvement opportunities across all functions within our supply chain Reviews inventory demand, history, and cycle Analyzes data to develop recommendations for process improvements to drive service to customers and reduce costs Identifies opportunities to eliminate non-value added activities and streamline job tasks to create a more efficient working environment Assists with various Supply Chain projects Provides day-to-day support for capacity constraints and weekly load planning Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Able to work onsite 15-20 hours per week (M-F during core business hours) during the school year and 40 hours per week during the summer Ability to work flexible hours Excellent communication skills required Strong background / knowledge of Microsoft computer software What to expect: Gain valuable experience across multiple functions within our supply chain (scheduling, operations, customer service, and purchasing) Build relationships with multiple individuals across the organization Become well versed in SAP and MRP driven demand Education / Certifications Education Required High School Diploma or Equivalent Education Desired High School Diploma or EquivalentSkills & Experience Work Experience Required Pursuing postsecondary degree.
