Business Intelligence Analyst/Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst

Join our Enterprise Performance Metrics team for Citizens Property Insurance to enhance our data analysis, visualization/dashboards, and data storytelling. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will work with business partners across the organization to gather requirements, build dashboards using Microsoft Power BI and other tools as needed, and perform analysis to derive actionable intelligence. Additionally, this position will serve in a role to train users in both self-service environments and actionable intelligence dashboard design.

Senior: Leads development of meaningful business intelligence analyses and reports using various sources of data in an efficient manner. Summarizes information appropriately for the intended audience. Produces senior-level presentations that will impact thinking and decision making. Refines and revises report production to ensure efficiency.

Intermediate: Supports development of meaningful business intelligence analyses and reports using various sources of data in an efficient manner. Summarizes information appropriately for the intended audience. Refines and revises report production to ensure efficiency.

Senior: Analyzes and/or directs others to analyze data for trends, patterns or changes and communicates significance of findings to management. Understands data relative to its source and how it is entered/maintained in the system to properly use or direct others to use.

Intermediate: Analyzes data for trends, patterns or changes and communicates significance of findings to management to inform decision making and strategies.

Senior: Ensures data quality. Develops methods for audits of data from policy system and other sources to identify anomalies. Monitors periodic audits performed by others. Informs data owners of identified errors for correction. Follows up to ensure errors are corrected at the source. Communicates any inconsistencies to data users.

Intermediate: Ensures data quality. Periodically audits data from policy system and other sources to identify anomalies. Informs data owners of identified errors for correction. Follows up to ensure errors are corrected at the source. Shares findings with the team.

Senior & Intermediate: Generates detailed documentation of work to enable reviews and replication of reports.

Senior: Leads responses to ad hoc information requests from a variety of customers. Research topics as necessary, compiles appropriate information and summarizes conclusions in a timely fashion.

Knowledge of insurance concepts, Advanced knowledge of data quality concepts, Advanced knowledge of Excel, Advanced knowledge of business intelligence tools, Advanced SQL, Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Education here: * Skills in Data Visualization and Storytelling * Bachelor's degree in quantitative field, such as math, computer science, actuarial science, statistics, physics

Relevant Experience: (Required)

Senior: Five years analytical, business intelligence and/or data management experience with a demonstrated proficiency using data visualization and analysis tools such as Power BI and SQL.

Intermediate: Three years analytical, business intelligence and/or data management experience with a competence using data visualization and analysis tools such as Power BI and SQL.

Education: (Required)

Senior: High School Diploma | GED, Bachelor's Degree OR 4 years relevant experience, OR a combination of college education and relevant experience equivalent to 4 years.

Intermediate: High School Diploma | GED, Bachelor's Degree OR 4 years relevant experience, OR a combination of college education and relevant experience equivalent to 4 years.
