We are looking for a mission driven Medical Dietician to join our team! In consultation with the medical provider, the Medical Dietitian assesses the nutritional status of patients. They provide nutrition therapy and education to optimize the health of patients and enhance medical care and treatment. Nutrition therapy includes the assessment of patient nutritional status, diet modification treatment and monitoring of patient response to treatment. During the medical nutrition intervention, the Medical Dietitian will counsel patients on behavioral and lifestyle changes required to impact long-term eating habits and health.

This is a part-time position located on our main campus (30th & L). The schedule is generally Monday-Friday with varying hours.

To ensure the safety of our patients, employees, and communities, OneWorld Community Health Centers is recommending all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Food & Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutrition Science, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.


- Current licensure as a Medical Nutrition Therapist in the state of Nebraska required.


- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist certification through the Commission of Dietetic Registration required.


- One or more years of nutritional counseling/education experience in a clinical setting preferred.

- Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office products required.

- Proficiency in both English and Spanish required.

- Demonstrated knowledge/expertise in diabetes, weight reduction, nutrition, and cholesterol management.

- Demonstrated ability to relate with empathy and effectiveness to patients, co-workers, health care providers, and the public.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member.
