The Clean Energy Division of Generac Power Systems seeks an intern to support the Supply Chain Operations team. The ideal candidate will be willing to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment; has a passion for technology and renewable energy; and a willingness to take on new areas of responsibility. The successful candidate will see through multiple projects while working closely with other team members to accomplish project goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Report directly to Supply Chain team members to assist with daily tasks and longer-term projects
- Work in Generac ERP tool to update system with appropriate planning dates
- Update Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the team
- Track and assist with PO maintenance for Finished goods inbound from international vendors
- Assist in Tracking lead time from various vendors both Domestic and International
- Work with Supply Chain managers, planners & buyers to help resolve issues
- Support incoming and outgoing product inventory tracking and software upgrades.
Minimal Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related
- The ability to work 15-20 hours during the school year and full-time during school breaks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good documentation skillset
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft office applications (excel experience a benefit)
- Experience with databases, data entry, and data analysis
- Experience with startups and rapidly-scaling companies
- Demonstrated interest in distributed energy systems, PV, wind, or other energy generation and battery storage

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
