Implements market risk analysis and participates in implementing risk management systems and processes to minimize market risk. Applies experience and seasoned knowledge, skills, and practices to perform a variety of assignments.

Job Description

What is the Opportunity?

* The GRM counterparty and credit risk group provides independent and effective monitoring, control, and communications on the nature and extent of all material credit risk and ensures the implementation and compliance with risk management policies and procedures.

* The new hire will join as a junior member of the GRM team that is responsible for the oversight of the Structured Finance Transaction and the Structured Asset Collateral (SAC) portfolio in New York with primary responsibilities and other key aspects of the job defined in the following sections.

What will you do?

Risk Oversight and Analytics

* Help provide risk oversight for the Counterparty Credit Risk for SFT and the Structured Asset Collateral (SAC) portfolio.

* Aid in the management of the CCR reporting process and ensure the accuracy of key risk measurements.

* Development the risk infrastructure.

* Analyze key collateral and products to ensure they are in line with RBCCM risk tolerance.

* Review significant transactions to help facilitating business and ensure proper risk controls.

* Work with trading to ensure a close cohesion on key risk issues: systems, limits, risk management.

Risk Measurement

* Play a lead role in enhancing risk systems : CREX and other tools

* Investigate risks to provide value-added insight and analysis to senior management on risk trends and concerns.

Analytics

* Examine trends in large sets of data using advanced statistical and econometric techniques to draw conclusions related to collateral and limits.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Requirements: Master in computer Science/Finance or engineering
  • Must have: Strong coding skills, interest in securitized products and fixed income products, quantitative skill set, curious mindset, self-motivated, and communication skills.

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $80k - $135k depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
