The pay range for this position is $18.00 to $19.00 per hour.
The position of Youth Program Specialist provides a unique opportunity to engage with staff and youth members in a safe and nurturing environment. This leadership position provides ample opportunities to learn about youth and serve members and guests of many different backgrounds. This position pays $18-19 an hour, and the required hours are Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday 2-7pm. The Youth Program Specialist will be responsible for leading some youth programs, training staff and engaging with youth and their families. The Youth Program Specialist will be responsible for maintaining our Loft area, which is a recreational game area for youth ages 8 and up. The Youth Program Specialist will also be engaged in our Restorative Behavior Program, which is a program that works to teach our youth appropriate choices and social skills.

Job Summary/Primary Purpose: The Youth Program Specialist provides support to the Youth Development Manager for the administrative and programmatic needs of youth programming. The Youth Program Specialist also fulfills the role of a youth mentor as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise youth mentoring staff in the absence of the Youth Development Manager.
Education and/or Experience: Participation in or completion of an undergraduate degree in education, youth development, social work, ministry, or related field required OR, in lieu of education, three (3) plus years of experience working in youth programming AND relevant youth related training/certification.
