Job Description

This role is responsible for providing technical assistance and direction to the plant on all quality-related issues.

What You Will Do

  • Perform receiving inspections
  • Perform dimensional layouts of component parts (first article inspection, audits, discovered non-conforming material) using surface plate methodology. Complete documentation indicating the results of the dimensional analysis
  • Act as the technical contact for the plant on all quality-related matters encountered on a day-to-day basis
  • Disposition non-conforming vendor material. Effectively use the ETQ Corrective Action system to coordinate with vendors to ensure quality-related issues are resolved
  • Maintain the plant's gage calibration system to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements
  • Conduct effective audits which identify improvement opportunities. Provide input and follow-up, implementing corrective actions where appropriate
  • Expedite and reduce the quality/engineering hold inventories. Generate appropriate "hold reports", assisting others in resolution

Position Details

  • Plant location: Roscoe, IL
  • This position will work 1st shift Mon - Thurs 6:00am - 4:00pm
  • Compensation package offered: Minimum $25.00/hr

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates degree in technical engineering or quality technology, OR High School Diploma/GED and 2 years equivalent quality experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Databases and Outlook

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to read complex blueprints
  • An understanding of manufacturing documents such as; blue prints, electrical wiring diagrams, job routings, bills of materials, and technical documents
  • An understanding of ISO 9001:2015 standards and quality systems
  • Ability to accurately use, calibrate, and maintain mechanical gages and inspection equipment
  • Above average mechanical ability
  • A self-starter with the ability to prioritize issues and accomplish documented goals
  • Ability to problem solve, reason, analyze, and following through on all aspects of the position
  • Ability to follow exact procedures and, when required to follow verbal instructions
