Krispy Kreme's Sr. Analyst, Food Safety & Quality will partner closely with our Global Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory team to assist with the key food safety programs, supplier management and quality management programs. This position will drive supplier raw material and ingredient management review and approval process. Individuals will be responsible for maintaining supplier data portal information to drive supplier compliance and ensure records are current. The individual will also drive and develop supplier quality monitoring program and supplier KPI's scorecard reports.


The individual will also lead supplier-related complaint investigations and drive root cause analysis and CAPA investigations. The position requires an understanding of risk management practices and program management. The individual will conduct supplier risk assessments including ingredient and process hazard analysis. Data analysis capabilities will include individuals trained in statistical process control, continuous improvement, and lean six sigma. At times, the individual will also be capable of leading and conducting supplier ingredient and food contact packaging audits. We are looking for a Food Safety & Quality Analyst that is excited to join our team and motivated by enhancing food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.


A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • The individual will investigate quality complaints and conduct root cause analysis.
  • This role will include responsibility for conducting CAPA investigation and closure for third party audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Ensure compliance to Krispy Kreme Supplier Expectations Standards and program requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Krispy Kreme Supplier Expectation Standards to assure compliance with regulatory standards and customer expectations.
  • Schedule and conduct supplier audits to drive compliance and assign appropriate supplier category risk level.
  • Lead Foreign Supplier Verification Program Corporate regulatory assessments.
  • Conduct Food Defense program system penetration assessments.
  • Conduct horizon scanning for Food Fraud risk for ingredients.
  • Create and update Krispy Kreme Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
  • Develop supplier audit training and conduct auditor calibration for the Global Food Safety and Quality team.
  • Use continuous improvement tools to drive supplier quality and understand points of inefficiency.
  • Manage mock traceability exercises and recall testing programs.
  • Manage regulatory readiness for FSVP inspections.
  • Update the food defense program.
  • Lead internal and external auditing programs.
  • Identify areas for process improvement changes through analysis of changeover data and process review.
  • Includes identify standard work processes practices where applicable.
  • Provides night and weekend coverage as needed, with on-call status with expectations of immediate response.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
  • Ad-Hoc projects that may lead to continued growth opportunities within Krispy Kreme.


YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor's degree in science or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years in a production facility, preferably in a food processing plant
  • A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience at training production personnel
  • Experience with previous manufacturing plant or line startups a strong plus.
  • PCQI trained and knowledgeable in FSMA regulations
  • Strong knowledge of GFSI Certification programs and implementation (SQF, FSSC22000, BRC, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on certain projects.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Up to 25% travel.
